Making the switch to solar often has positive outcomes…but not all of them have happy endings 😕… While doing other work on this property, we noticed the solar panels they had (installed by another company) were damaged. Our clients agreed to book in another time for us to inspect the system, only to discover that after testing the APS micro inverter (shown in photo) only two out of the ten were fully functional 🙅♂️. All 20 Jinko panels had failed as a result and the client requested that we remove the whole system from the roof 💥. It was only 6 years old 😱! While we hope our clients consider solar again in the future, we hope this serves as a cautionary tale to work with reputable installers who have your long-term investment in mind ☝️.
