What to Look for with Warranties

Are you covered with the right warranty 🤔? While the solar equipment you’ve invested in might be covered with a certain warranty, this doesn’t mean that your investment is completely covered. Here’s a brief overview of the different types of warranties available when you invest in a system: 💥 Manufacturer’s Warranty/Product Warranty: This covers defects in the materials or workmanship during manufacture. Enphase offers a 10-year inverter warranty and LG offer a 25-year panel warranty. 💥 Performance Warranty: Companies warranty their panels to provide a minimum output at a certain age. This is commonly known as a linear power output warranty. 💥 Retailers Warranty: CEC Approved Solar Retailers have to provide a standard minimum warranty period of five years on the operation and performance of the whole solar system including workmanship and products, and address any problems during this period.
